The entry about Asma’, the older sister of Aishah, in the appendix to the Hadith book Mishkat al-Masabih. This was first written about 700 years ago.

It is stated above that Asma’ was ten years older than Aishah, and died in 73 A.H. at the age of 100 years. Thus, at the time of Aishah joining the Holy Prophet as his wife in 2 A.H., Asma’ was 29, and therefore Aishah was 19 years old.
