A word about ourselves

The Ahmadiyya Anjuman Isha‘at Islam Lahore was founded in Lahore (now Pakistan) in 1914 by some senior companions of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (d. 1908) with the chief object of the propagation of the true picture of Islam, as a tolerant, rational, peaceful and liberal faith. This propagation work is done by publishing literature and establishing missions, centres and branches of the Movement around the world.

We believe in Islam as taught in the Holy Quran and as illustrated in practice by the Holy Prophet Muhammad. Our belief is that the Holy Prophet Muhammad was the Last and final Prophet, after whom no prophet whatsoever can appear.

The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement has created and published, over the years, a wide range of highly-renowned books on all aspects of Islam and the Ahmadiyya Movement. This literature has received world-wide acclaim for its authenticity, high standard, scholarship and service to the cause of Islam. The Movement was a pioneer in the field of Islamic missionary work around the world, and its work has been praised by many Muslims from outside the Movement.
