Is Shariah (Islamic Law) in Destiny of USA?

Simple answer is YES. Before I make my case that USA has already or is without realizing implementing Shariah, I would refer to following article published in NY Times:

My reasons:
1- In early part of 2010, an American CIA contractor murdered two Pakistanis in Lahore. Murderer life was spared as American administration people themselves or their friends on American’s behalf paid ‘Blood Money’ to victims’ families as part of compensation. This is an example of Americans at the highest level practicing a provision of Shariah. Given the economic and social problems caused by United States overflowing prison population and failing prison system, I am confident in due time, this provision of Shariah will be implemented within United States.
2- Communist Economic system has failed, and Capitalist Economic system is in tatters. Americans are protesting to move away from Capitalist economic system, towards the middle ground, which fosters entrepreneurship, individual incentive, safety nets in society and securities. This is an example of Americans yearning for provision of Shariah.
3- In early twentieth century in USA there was prohibition on alcohol. Now with advancement in knowledge of negative effects of alcohol consumption, numbers of Americans despising alcohol is increasing. And time will come when prohibition will again be placed and majority of Americans will accept that. This will be another example of Americans adopting another provision of Shariah.
4- Today in USA books (‘Love Times Three’ www.lovetimesthree.com) are written and reality TV shows (TLC show ‘Sister Wives’) are produced on lives of polygamists. Three to four wives of one husband. Polygamists make their case that there is nothing odd or abnormal to live in a polygamous relationship, although it is not for everyone. More interestingly law enforcement agencies are not enforcing law against these open polygamists. Americans tolerance is increasing towards polygamy. Time will come in USA when under ‘freedom of religion’ and ‘in pursuit of happiness’ as guaranteed by US constitution law against polygamy in US will go into trashcan of history as many other laws in this country has already gone. When Americans will strike down law against polygamy, they infect will be implementing one more provision of Shariah.

The truth is Americans in all major spheres of life i.e. penal, economic, social and family are moving towards implementing Shariah provisions. And this they are doing without realizing and raising alarms, by their own volition.
There is a Hadith of Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) where he said about non-Muslim nations that whether they like it or not, they will have to adopt Islamic principles.
I wonder how Newt Gingrich and other US politicians can resist solutions to problems in country and society without adopting provisions of Shariah?

I heard the same in Audio Dars ( commentary of Holy Quran) by late stalwart of Lahore Jammat Naseer Farooqi Sahib– there was “War” Dept in Great Britian and then it became “Dept of Defence” — just as Islam dictates. Then they say we need a basis of universal religious tolerance and equality of mankind- so they adopt Islamic practices.

Naïve Americans need to be educated that Sharia (Islamic Law) is NOT the one that is propagated, interpreted and applied by extremists, terrorists and even by governments in countries like Pakistan, Iran, Somalia, Saudi Arabia etc.
On the contrary, naïve Americans need to be informed that they without being aware and without recognizing have and are applying principles of Sharia (Islamic Law) both at federal and state level.

The connection between Hitler and Christianity is less clear (although the Pope of the time is said to have refrained from condemning his actions), but Israel does claim to base itself on Judaism because it claims that that land was promised to it by God in Jewish scriptures. When you believe that God promised you something unconditionally, regardless of your deeds, then you will commit any deed to get and retain it, however heinous and unjust, trampling over the rights of others.
Only Islam teaches the concept of an unprejudiced, just God Who judges everyone by an equal standard according to their deeds:
“It may be that your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you rulers in the land, then He will see how you act.” (7:129)
“Then We made you rulers in the land after them, so that We might see how you act.” (10:14)

LAM USA branch in Ohio will hold its annual conference at the end of this month. This year theme is Sharia. Non-Muslim Americans will also attend conference. To dispel their worries about Sharia some LAM speaker can give few examples how Americans are already implementing spirit of Sharia as common sense and prudential way of solving our society issues.
In my opinion women have more privileges and rights than men in Islam. Here are few examples:
1-Whatever husband makes/ earns for living half is right of wife. And whatever she makes, husband has no right on it.
2-When woman is in menopause her husband cannot divorce her, as three/four months requirements of menstrual cycles cannot be fulfilled.
3-When husband and wife want to dissolve their marriage in an amicable way; husband has to pronounce ‘divorce’ to his wife three times. Whereas if wife wants to divorce her husband she has to pronounce it only once.
4-In witness stand while testifying a male witness cannot consult with another person. Whereas female witness IF WISHES too, can consult another female.
Hopefully these kinds of arguments can help in dispelling fear that Sharia is discriminatory against women.

I am glad to read how non-Muslims governments in Europe and in this case in UK are forcing Muslims to follow real teachings of Islam. One such teaching is where it is prohibited to marry women against their will. Thank you Prime Minister David Cameron for making Muslims in your country follow the true teachings of Islam.

In New York Times, Sunday, April 14, 2013 issue, Magazine Section, a long piece is published. 'How a Single Spy Helped Turn Pakistan Against the United States'. It is the story of American "Diplomate" Raymond Davis who murdered two Pakistani citizens on January 27, 2011. My interest in this article is to see details of application of Shariah (Islamic Law) by Americans, through its State Department and C.I.A. offices. Quote from page 6 of article:
"More than a week later, General Pasha came back to Ambassador Munter to discuss a new strategy. It was a solution based on an ancient tradition that would allow the matter to be settled outside the unpredictable court system. The issue had already been discussed among a number of Pakistani and American officials, including Ambassador Haqqani in Washington. The reckoning for Davis’s actions would come in the form of “blood money,” or diyat, a custom under Shariah law that compensates the families of victims for their dead relatives. The matter would be handled quietly, and Davis would be released from jail.
Pasha ordered I.S.I. operatives in Lahore to meet the families of the three men killed during the January episode and negotiate a settlement. Some of the relatives initially resisted, but the I.S.I. negotiators were not about to let the talks collapse. After weeks of discussions, the parties agreed on a total of 200 million Pakistani rupees, approximately $2.34 million, to offer “forgiveness” to the jailed C.I.A. officer."
So here is the fact, to dismay of many in United States, its government has applied Shariah. The reason is simple. It saw value in Shariah. I am sure with time, US government and fellow US citizens will see more valuable advantages in applying Shariah. Link to NY Times article:

I find it very interesting and would recommend. Per article one attendee made comment: One former Banker told us that ‘If they had Sharia law in the english economy, the financial crash wouldn’t have happened. Financial derivatives trading – which I dealt with – is nothing more than just betting (and because its not linked to anything material)’.
Above comment resonates with what Ikram has written in one of his recent articles on this blog.

US Supreme Court Moves Country Closer to Shariah (Islamic Law).
Today US Supreme Court in its land mark ruling declared marriage definition is not limited to one man and one woman. Although proponents were gay rights people, but with this ruling in future it will be legal for one man to have more than one wife. And from practical point of view, it will very hard for one man to have four wives at the same time. At the most it will be one man married to two wives or maximum three wives. This I take a sign of US moving her family laws closer to Shariah.
