Zafrullah Khan’s book “Ahmadiyyat, The Renaissance of Islam”

I came across a remarkable statement of Mirza Mahmud Ahmad as cited in the book, Ahmadiyyat the Renaissance of Islam by Muhammad Zafrulla Khan. The book can be found here: http://www.alislam.org/books/
Mirza Mahmud declared in 1944 regarding the prophecy of the Promised Son, “I therefore announce, under divine command, on oath, that God has appointed me the Promised Son of the Promised Messiah, peace be on him, according to his prophecy, who has to convey the name of the Promised Messiah to the ends of the earth. I do not say that I am the only Promised One and that no other promised one will be appear till the Day of Judgment. It appears from the prophecies of the Promised Messiah that some other promised ones will also come and some of them will appear after centuries. Indeed, God has told me that at one time He will send me a second time to the world and I will come for the reform of the world at a time when associate with God will have become widespread. This means that my soul will, at some time, descend upon someone who will possess faculties and capacities like mine and he will, following my footsteps, bring about a reform of the world. So in effect he declares that he himself will have his own ‘second coming,’ so much so that his very soul will be implanted into another human being! Thus Qadianis await the second coming of Mirza Mahmud Ahmad?
I may mention, it was curious to read as well the details given regarding the assassination attempt on his very life.
Muhammad Zafrulla Khan writes: “Yet, there were those who, through error, bigotry, misunderstanding or sheer perversity entertained bitter hostility towards him and were capable of subjecting him to the most heinous outrages. One day in March 1954 a young man belonging to this last category managed to take his stand in the first line of worshippers immediately behind him, while he was leading the afternoon service in the principal mosque of Rabwah. In the middle of the service he suddenly advanced upon him from his rear and drove the blade of long sharp knife into his neck with murderous force….the injury inflicted… was deep and grievous and had a serious effect on his nervous system… The blade of the knife had penetrated into his neck a distance of four inches and its point had stopped right at the jugular vein… the unanimous conclusion was that the point of the knife had broken at the jugular vein and was embedded in it. The expert advice was that no attempt should be made to extricate it as the risk to his life involved in any such operation was too serious to be worth taking. He was advised to adopt a restful pattern of life and to avoid hard work and long periods of sustained labour. For a person of his temperament and high capacities this was a disappointing prospect. But there was no help for it. He was still able to carry on a comparatively active life, but the pressure on his nervous system, instead of being eased with the passage of time, tended to be intensified progressively.” (Ahmadiyyat the Renaissance of Islam by Muhammad Zafrulla Khan, pp. 331-333). After this type of injury, I wonder how was he able to function as Khalifa for the remainder of his life, since as I understand it, one of the controls of the nervous system is to facilitate the ability to think and reason. http://www.webmd.com/brain

As late Abdul Manan Omar sahib told me: It was Mugrab Prayer Time [if I am not mistaking]. AMO sahib was walking towards mosque. In the way was home of his relative or friend [I forgot the name], he saw him and asked him to have a cup of tea, as it was ready. AMO sahib was getting late for prayer but on insistence of host he stopped at his home. He hardly had finished his tea, that they heard somebody running in the street and shouting, “Hazoor Per Qatilana Hamala Ho Giya Hai” (Someone has attacked on QK2 to murder him). AMO sahib immediately ran towards Majid Mubarik [if I am not forgetting the name of mosque]. There he saw a very interesting scene: People who were praying had run away. QK2 was lying on the mosque floor. A young boy was standing next to QK2. The kid was in shock for what he did. He did not run. He was simply standing there. It was AMO sahib who grabbed that kid from his arm. Per AMO sahib: The kid was student of 8th class [8th grade in middle school]. One day he heard from some Maulvi that Qadianis are Kafir and he decided to get rid of Kafir.
Two interesting facts of history:
1-QK2 use to ridicule elders of LAM for leaving Qadiani i.e. seat of Ahmadiyyat, home town of HMGA, and Behasti Muqbara (Heavenly grave yard) . QK2 made claim of “Musleh Mahud” in 1944 and within 3 years he followed elders of LAM and migrated to Lahore under fear for his life, while leaving his followers in harm’s way. To this day neither he nor any of his follower QKs (despite their wishes) got chance to be buried in Behasti Muqbara, Qadian. This happened despite they having the physical possession, political connections and financial strength.
2-QK2 had injury to his neck in 1944 and he died in 1965 i.e. within 21 years. Haqiqqat Passand Party (of former Qadiani Waqaf-e-Zindghi members) in 1950s use to publish that per verse of Holy Quran and its interpretation by HMGA, a FALSE claimant of Mamur-min-Allah (Divine appointee) gets stabbed in the neck and that he dies within 23 years of his claim. Holy Quran verse and HMGA interpretation perfectly applied on QK2 Mirza Mahmud Ahmad claim, injury and death. Allah-O-Akbar.

Madness of King George
The Madness of King George (links: Play, Movie) was based upon a hereditary condition called “Acute Intermittent Porphyria” (link), something that George III of United Kingdom (link) had no control over and was not of his own fault. But, what about the Madness of Qadiani Khalifa II? For that we get answer in the prophecies of Quran that can fit any such usurpers and forgers for matters they had full control over:
69:44. Had he (- Muhammad) forged and attributed some saying to Us (and said, `This is what Allâh has revealed to me').
69:45. We would have certainly seized him strongly by the right hand (and so deprived him of all his power),
69:46. And then surely We would have cut off his jugular vein;
69:47. Then none of you could have stopped (Us) from (punishing) him (and thus stood in Our way of dealing justly).
No matter how Qadianis slice and dice the facts, the history bears witness that QK-2 forged and attributed some saying to Us in the matter of declaring the non-finality of the prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and attributing prophethood to HMGA, both of which contravene the written words of Allah:
33: 40. Muhammad is no father to any man among you but (he is rather) the Messenger of Allâh and the Seal of the Prophets. Indeed Allâh has full knowledge of all things.
Further, QK-2 also attributed the title and name of “Ahmad” to HMGA rather than what it stands for in Quran i.e. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH):
61:6. And (recall the time) when Jesus, son of Mary, said, `O Children of Israel! surely I am a Messenger sent to you by Allâh fulfilling (the prophecies contained in) the Torah which preceded me and pronouncing the good news of (the advent of) a great Messenger named Ahmad, who will come after me.' But when he (- the Prophet Muhammad) came to them with clear proofs, they said, `His are the enchanting ways separating (us from our people).'
Fact of the matter is that the same QK-2 by a Divine scheme was made to undo his smears in quite some public ways. He followed in footsteps of Lahoris despite his taunting the latter for decades and abandoned Qadian, the birth place of their “prophet” and relocated to Rabwah. He again repeated after the Lahoris in Munir-Kiyani Inquiry Commission that every Kalima reciter is a Muslim, something that separated him from rest of the Muslim world for over forty years and also split the Jamaat of HMGA. To put it crudely (in Urdu), factors beyond his control made him lick back what he spat in disgust before. It was only after his humiliated public recanting, that his self-aggrandized life saw its slow and painful demise – seized him strongly by the right hand (and so deprived him of all his power).

Attempt On Life
In March 1954, an assassin attacked Khalifatul Masih II with a knife while he was leading the afternoon Prayers in the Mubarak Mosque in Rabwah. He received a deep wound in the neck, which could have been fatal had it gone a little deeper. Khalifatul Masih was 65 years old at the time.
Although the wound healed in due course, it shattered his nerves leading to a severe nervous fatigue a year later. After recovering somewhat, he traveled to Europe for medical treatment on the advice of his doctors. After staying there for about six months, he returned to Rabwah.
After his return from Europe, he undertook the writing of the Shorter Commentary of the Holy Quran, in the Urdu language. The strain from this work plus other demands of his office, led to strong nervous fatigue in 1958. From then on, his condition gradually worsened till, on November 8, 1965, Khalifatul Masih II passed away. He was 77 years old at the time of his death. Next day he was buried in the Bahishtee Maqbarah at Rabwah.
Yes, merely to cut off his jugular vein would have been an easy end, but it was more than that. The “Musleh Maud” and all his revelations and wisdom were kept away from public eye for which he was ordained to begin with.
P.S. Qadianis have to stop equating QK2 with Hazrat Umar ibn Khatab (RA), the Khalifa of Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA). Umar never claimed Divine ordination to his office whereas the Rabwah chain of such stooges quite daringly makes such audacious claim, even worse, they even have followers today.

According to late Abdul Manan Omar sahib: He was the person who grabbed the middle school student who tried to kill QK2 Mirza Mahmud Ahmad. According to late Abdul Manan Omar sahib he was also the one who grabbed the crime scene weapon from the hand of kid. According to him the weapon used in attack was ‘fruit katanay wala chota sa jabi chakoo’ (pocket size small folding knife used to cut fruit) in Pakistan. Growing up in 70s in Pakistan, as a kid I remember keeping that pocket size folding knife. It was a very common to carry it.
Six points to remember:
1-Crime scene weapon was a small rusted flimsy knife perhaps that is why it broke in flash of QK2 neck.
2-Had knife been a strong, sharp with long blade it would have reached much deeper and instantly cut the jugular vein.
3-The attacker was a little malnourished kid with limited force. Had attacker been an adult man with strengthen he would have driven knife deep into neck.
4-QK2 Mirza Mahmud Ahmad use to keep his body guards, at least when in public places. (My late father’s maternal uncle Abdul Haq Pathan use to be QK2 Bodyguard. My father in-law Professor Chaudhry Ghulam Rasool sahib remembers, after QK2 escaped to Pakistan from Qadian and was living in Rattan Bagh, Lahore, Abdul Haq Pathan use to walk in front of QK2 Mirza Mahmud Ahmad with sword in his hand). Somehow Allah SWT showed His plan by providing opportunity to a kid to evade bodyguards of QK2 and attack the well-guarded man.
5-Qadianis try to create false impression that attacker was some adult man with a dangerous weapon who used deadly force to murder QK2 Mirza Mahmud Ahmad. Qadianis try to create false impression as if attack on their QK2 was result of some dangerous conspiracy.
6-The fact remains that attacker got away of any criminal charges and imprisonment because he was a little kid!!!

While perusing The Holy Quran – 5 Volume Commentary on Qadiani website (link), I came across the following footnote in connection with verse 18:61 (18:60 as enumerated by others) where the Journey of Moses is discussed:
“Musleh Maud” i.e, QK-2 in the last decade of his life remained isolated from his Parish or for that matter whole of Islamic Umma, till his death.
No matter what the cause, if this distancing of “Musleh Maud” i.e, QK-2 is compared to the above Qadiani expectation of a Divinely Ordained person, then I am sorry to state that QK-2 was just a mortal and had no heavenly conferred office because according to Qadiani understanding of Quran – “It is against the established practice [for] all the prophets of God to remain separate from their people for a long time.”
Qadiani and their Khandan-e-Khilafat (QK2-5) fail by their own standards of Quran that they set for others.

Now ask any medical student, any doctor or anyone who is a doctor reading this blog that anatomically is it not even possible for a simple stab wound to cause symptoms described by Sir Zafarullah Khan and others that are of central nervous system.
Probably it was some ongoing concurrent process which might have preceded the stabbing incidence and progressed in its natural course after the stabbing. Stabbing was merely incidental.
This is not a case of metal poisoning just because the tip of the knife had broken and remained embedded. Gunshot victims have lead pellets or bullet fragments in their bodies all their lives without any ill consequence.
Neither was this a case of nutritional deficiency because being a Khalifa, he was well fed. Neither was it some endocrine or blood disease issue, as they are reversible.
Was it a stroke or sets of strokes? Probably not, as these need physiotherapy that by all accounts was not provided for. Was it dementia? But probably not, because he undertook writing commentary on Quran. Could not be autoimmune, as these conditions tend to manifest quite early in age.
Again, what it that which caused him to lose his cognitive abilities that was so bad that he had to be kept away from public eye for almost a decade before he passed away. Any guesses? My guess is some infectious process that was chronic, progressive, irreversible and that affected the CENTRAL nervous system on its cognitive side quite early on and was terminal.
