Ramadan Daily Quran Study, June-July 2015
Welcome to the Ramadan Daily Quran Studies for 2015
(Note: Other new posts are below this post.)
This year we will again, as in 2014, be covering the fundamental teachings of Islam, based on the treatment in the renowned book The Religion of Islam by Maulana Muhammad Ali. Last year, we covered topics relating to the sources and principles of Islam (Parts 1 and 2 of The Religion of Islam). This year we will be covering some sections from Part 3, relating to the practices of Islam.
I will be presenting edited and abridged extracts from this book under various topics, along with additions by myself. The book itself is firmly based on the Holy Quran, from which it quotes extensively.

From Regis:
Jazak Allah khair Dr. Aziz, your efforts are much appreciated and may Allah reward you for them. Ramadan Kareem to you, the members of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement, Muslims and all people who hold Ramadan to be significant in their lives.
From ikram:
With regards to spiritual experience of Lailat-ul-Qadr, it seems that it is the natural culmination for a Muslim, who in the journey of a spiritual life is jogging along the whole year. S/he then speeds up her/his spiritual progress during the month of Ramadan as if running a marathon, and during its last ten days breaks into a sprint before crossing the threshold which turned out to be Prophetic revelations for some (Moses, Jesus, Muhammad – peace be upon them all) and spiritual visualization for others e.g. Maulana Muhmmad Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).
Dear Dr. Aziz. Your yearly Quran study in this marathon and sprint of Ramadan was essentially a daily ‘water station’ for one to quench one’s spiritual thirst. Thank you once again. May Allah reward you for your ongoing efforts which are an exemplary jihad by pen.
From Zahid Aziz:
Using further the jogging and marathon analogy, to think that all you need to do is pray all night on Lailat-ul-Qadr, and little else the rest of the time, is like thinking that you can run a marathon straight away after getting up from your chair without any regular exercise beforehand.
Thank you for the appreciation of the studies. And unexpressible thanks to Allah for giving me the opportunity.
