Spread of Christianity among Muslims in Indonesia

Submitted by Usman.

The following article in Time magazine is about the rise of Christianity in the World’s largest Muslim nation. The article notes when talking about reasons for Muslims converting to Christianity:

“At the same time, the attempted hijacking of Muslim theology by a small band of homegrown terrorists who have killed hundreds of Indonesians in recent years has led some to question their nation’s majority faith.”

In short, the rejection of Ahamdiyya view of Jihad and the death of Jesus is resulting in Christianity spreading in the Muslim world.

  1. History is repeating itself.

100 years ago, in the first quarter of 20th century Christian missionary activities were surging in Indonesia. At request of Muslims from there, Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement elders sent their Muslim missionaries to meet the challenge of Christian missionaries.

I pray this time at least Indonesian Muslims take advantage LAM literature available on its official and branches websites to meet current threat.

    From Zahid Aziz:

We have a strong Jama`at in Indonesia with many learned members, who continue to produce literature in Indonesian. At present, our Hazrat Ameer Dr A.K. Saeed is visiting Indonesia.

  3. It’s a big problem in Indonesia, not only the faith but rather than poverty conditions. Most of  ulama  busy in politics, economic activity and only a few ulama have concern on grass root moslem problem. Most of moslem educations are really lacking in quality,  qualified educations are become an expensive thing.

It’s a great jackpot that our Ameer, Dr. A.K. Saeed, come to see the Indonesian members. Thanks for your visit my Ameer, God bless you. I hope someday Mr Zahid Aziz come to Indonesia too, I wait for that.
