AAIIL Press Release on Lahore mosque attacks

Yesterday, two mosques of the Ahmadiyya Jamaat of Rabwah (Qadian), in Lahore, were attacked brutally by terrorists, which has taken more than a hundred innocent lives.
We strongly condemn this cowardly act of terrorism which is inhuman in its nature. We strongly believe that life of each human being is sacred and no one has the right to shed blood in this cruel manner.
We pray that may Allah enter all the martyrs in Paradise and may they be among the successful ones. We sympathise with the families who have lost their near and dear ones.
We, the members of Ahmadiyya Anjuman Ishaat-i Islam Lahore (Lahori Ahmadis), stand with Jamaat-e Rabwah in this time of trial and pray that may Allah keep them safe for all times to come.

The Second Amendment laid the foundations of intolerance and religious tyranny in Pakistan, which has manifested itself in other ways. Since then our state has been in a downward spiral.
In 1974, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was determined to hang on to power by hook or by crook. Though not a bigot himself, Bhutto was ill-advised by his law minister Abdul Hafeez Pirzada. As a result, the PPP stabbed in the back the one community that had helped them in winning the 1970 elections, by putting a question to parliament that it had no authority to determine. As a result Bhutto managed to hang on to power for another three years. The usurper who replaced Bhutto, General Ziaul Haq, took bigotry against the Ahmedis to another level altogether with his unconstitutional and inhumane Ordinance XX of 1984 specifically targeting this community. His bigotry was upheld by our independent judiciary in Zaheeruddin v The State, where the dispensers of justice compared Islamic symbols with Coca Cola’s intellectual property in an argument that defies all legal sense and logic to justify the ban on the Ahmedis from using any Islamic symbols — symbols that are central to their faith.

I have no words to express my grief and sorrow for the carnage in Lahore on Ahmadiyya Jamaat of Rabwah. Let Allah be a source of justice and solace to the victims and their families. Please read the following in the light of this horrific, inhumane, premeditated, cowardly, mullah abetted incidence:
Envision the attackers and the mullahs:
96:6. Nay! (it is not at all as these people think), this human being does indeed indulge in transgression,
96:7. Because he thinks himself to be independent (of God).
96:8. (Mankind!) surely, to your Lord is the ultimate return (of you all to be accounted for your deeds).
96:9. Have you considered (the case of one) who forbids
Think of the victims who were praying in the mosque:
96:10. A servant (of God) when he prays (to His Lord)?
96:11. (Mankind!) do you ever consider if he (who prays to God) follows the right guidance,
96:12. Or enjoins guarding against evil. (How bad will be the end of that forbidder?)
And now think of those terrorists and mullahs again:
96:13. Do you (also) consider if a person (- the rejecter of Divine commandments) belies (them) and turns his back (upon the truth, what his end will be like)?
96:14. Does He not know that Allâh indeed observes (all)?
96:15. Nay, (it will never be as the rejecter desires.) If he does not desist (from these wicked ways), We shall assuredly (seize him and) drag him by the forelock –
96:16. A lying, sinful forelock!
96:17. Then let him call members of his association.
96:18. We will call Our brave defending guards.
To Jamaat members:
96:19. Nay, (he will never succeed in his evil designs.) Yield not to him, rather continue to prostrate yourself (before your Lord) and draw near (to Him).

To the survivors and rest of Jamaat Ahmadiyya, both Rabwah and Lahore:
2:286. Allâh charges no soul but to its capacity. It (- the soul) shall be paid for that which it has done (of good) and against it who has incurred (evil deliberately). (Pray,) `Our Lord! take us not to task if we forget or (if) we make a mistake. Our Lord! lay not upon us the burden (of disobedience) as You laid upon those before us. Our Lord! charge us not with the responsibility which we have not the strength to bear; therefore overlook our faults and grant us protection and have mercy on us. You are our Master, therefore help us against the disbelieving people.’

At the insistence of the Ulama, Muslims who took part in the janaza (funeral) prayers of an Ahmadi who died in the the attack on the Model Town Mosque, Lahore, had to recite the Kalima again, and (in case of married men) to renew their Nikah, since according to the Ulama they had become non-Muslims by joining in the funeral prayers.

i. The Minority Judgement
…for ascertaining its peculiar meaning and effect one has to reach the inner recesses of the mind of the man… This would be beyond the scope of the law and…
I agree with this fundamental underpinning of the minority judgment with regards to one’s proclamations about one’s faith.
ii. The Majority Judgement
…the Ahmadis always wanted to be a separate entity, of their own choice, religiously and socially. … Their disappointment is that they wanted to oust the rest of the Muslims as infidels and retain the tag of Muslims…
By “Ahmadis” the court essentially is implying “Qadianis.” Irrespective of the basis of majority judgment, I have a problem with Qadianis. This is a classical case of when chickens come home to roost. In all fairness, such a declaration if true, in my opinion is an open and shut case of bigotry by Khalifa II and I see him in no different light than that of an ordinary Mullah in Pakistan. I also question the compliance of the Qadianis in general with such a personal opinion of a Khalifa which tainted their generations for ever and serves no holy purpose.
III. CONCLUSION
…The actual mechanism of the registration of copyrights to religious terminology are, however, not discussed. In such a scenario the state and the courts are reduced to the guardians of just one religion, i.e. the state religion, namely Islam…
This goes back to Munir-Kayani commission. The majority opinion still has ignored the big elephant in the room i.e. Who is a Muslim?
Footnote – In my opinion the court diminished itself when it dogmatically referred to Salman Rushdie in its judgment.

I am willing to accept a “State Religion” to the extent and no more than symbolically similar to a “State Bird” or “State Flower.” Even if a state religion, bird or flower is identified, it does not mean that other religions, birds and flowers in the state are not equally protected and not placed on “endangered species” list, if the need so arises.

Do qadiani jamaat friends ever read any book beside Tazkirah?
Unfortuantely critics of HMGA also only read Tazkirah and make all the nonsense accusations of HMGA.
I think the biggest disservice to HMGA is to take his quotes out of context from his writings, to prove his divine communication, and publishing it together in a book form. Thus people read HMGA quotes out of context and drive their own meaning, with total disregard to what HMGA himself said. E.g. ‘Woh Teen Ko Char Karday Gha’ (He will change three to four). Someone among Qadiani jamaat used it repeatedly to marry when ever his wives number decreased to three from four!

Guest: Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (President of Sadar Anjuman of Qadiani Jamaat).
In this program guest states that Qadiani-Ahmadis (from Qadianis Jamaat) don’t offer prayer (namaz) behind Non-Qadiani Imam because these Imams call Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad sahib as Kafir (non-Muslim) [nauzubilah]. If this is the case then I don’t understand why Qadianis do NOT offer prayers behind Lahori-Ahmadi (Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement) Imam. This is true even of my own relatives belonging to Qadiani Jamaat.
In the same program guest states that Qadiani-Ahmadis offer funeral prayer (Jinazah) of Muslims. This is NOT true. Qadianis do NOT even offer janazah of Lahori-Ahmadis.
In recent Lahore massacre in Qadianis mosques, their president (former judge of income tax court) Shaikh Munir Ahmad received martyrdom (shahadat). Malik Aziz-ur-Rehman brother of Malik Abdur Rehman Khadim (author of important Qadiani publication ‘Ahmadiyya Pocket Book’) passed away in 2002. His janazah was offered in his neighbour-hood of Lahore by General Muslims. And his janazah was again offered in our jamaat headquarter by Lahori-Ahmadis. And he is buried in our jamaat’s grave yard.
In the same program, guest did not give his rebuttal comment to Abbas Athar (chief news editor of Express News) where he said, “we do NOT accept Punjabi-Nabi”.
My point is there is difference between words and deeds of Qadiani jamaat friends. Until that is resolved Muslims will NOT take them back into the fold of Islam. Unfortunately, Lahori-Ahmadis are also bundled with Qadianis by ill-informed Muslims.

It is interesting that when ahmadis translate verse 4:69 they believe it to mean that by obeying Allah and the messenger, that they too can become prophets, truthful (siddíq), faithful (shahíd) and righteous (sálih).
Of course Ahmadis also believe that when they recite surah al-fatiah they are infact praying that Allah also raises them and their descendants to the station of Prophethood.
Perhaps in the future many of the descendants of these martyrs will become prophets too. ( That is of course unless Mirza Masroor sahib does not veto their application here on earth)

Mr Ali, while Qadianis do believe (wrongly in our view) that Muslims can become prophets, the belief that Muslims can become martyrs is held by all Muslims. Discussing that belief is more relevant in this thread. And Muslim martyrs of the present times can have their martyrdom “veteoed” (as you put it) or approved by religious leaders and even Muslim governments.
When a suicide bombing attacks takes place against the general public in Pakistan, the killers are regarded as martyrs by some groups. Other groups, including the media, refer to the victims as martyrs. So your non-Ahmadi religious leaders approve and veto martrydoms.
Then there is government approved martyrs. According to the Iranian government, those Iranians killed in the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s are official martyrs, i.e. government approved martyrs.
In Pakistan, when the PPP is in power, Mr ZAB is officially called Bhutto Shaheed. When their opponents are in power, Mr ZAB is de-martyred (a new word I just invented!) and is no longer a government sponsored martyr.
Remember also that martyr is no small rank. According to Islam, a martyr has superiority in several respects over a prophet, so much so that on the Day of Judgment prophets will look with envy at the ranks attained by the shaheeds.
In brief, your non-Ahmadi ulama and governments are hardly different from Qadianis and their khalifa. Your ulama and the Muslim media have been giving the martyrdom certificate to dozens of people every month for the past few years since these acts began.

The prophecy can apply to an event in his life, but my understanding is prophecies can be fulfilled in different ways. it is only my reading, I don’t claim some sort of official sanction on the interpretation. Similarly, the prophecy about ‘an eastern power and delicate situation in Korea’ continues to unfold though it was said to have been fulfilled in the past.
